I am happy and excited about this new project. I will coordinate the co-design activities and the stakeholders involvement for a participatory research study to improve the collection of absorbent hygiene product (AHP) waste in Samora Machel in Philippi, Cape Town.

The research study is managed by GreenEdge Communication in collaboration with the University of the Western Cape, the study is following a community/municipality co-design approach to come up with jointly developed solutions.

Results will be compiled into guidelines for a pilot collection system planned for 2023. The project is funded by Kimberly-Clark.
